Pray the Scriptures, March 12
Genesis 31:1-32:2
Lord God, the God of Abraham and the Fear of Isaac,
I pray for ______________________ and myself today with regard to our professional responsibilities, especially in our relationships with those who have authority over us. I pray that you will protect us should the attitude of those who are over us change. May you grant us direction to know how to proceed, and be with us as we carry out your instructions, especially when your direction is to part company.
I pray in Jesus’ name that we will handle ourselves now in such a way that our own consciences will be completely clear. Be with us today and every day on the job. May we work hard for our employers with all our strength. If our employers unfairly change our compensation packages, protect us and do not allow our employers to harm us in the end. Please grant us success and prosperity regardless of the tactics of those above us.
When we are not being treated fairly, I pray that you will reveal yourself to us, speak to us, and give us direction in those circumstances. Please see every unfair thing that is being done to us; be the God of Bethel to each one. Grant us strength to do whatever you tell us to do. I pray also that you will grant husbands among us the support of their wives in any decision they need to make.
I pray that we will handle ourselves with the highest standards of personal integrity in any conflicts that arise in business. Deliver us from any fear of what man might do to us. May we never resort to deception or superstition but always handle ourselves with honesty, faith, and directness.
I pray that you will see the hardship and the toil of our hands. May you, the God of Abraham and the Fear of Isaac, be with us to protect us and to rebuke any who would try to send us away empty-handed by taking advantage of us. May you keep watch between us and any who try to harm us, and judge between us.
I pray that as we go on our way, following your direction, your angels will meet us and protect us. May each place we go be “the camp of God” because you are with us.
In the name of Jesus I pray, amen.
